Adolph Bermpohl the rescue cruiser German "Society for the Protection of the castaways (DGzRS)", named after Adolf Bermpohla, founder of the idea of an organized rescue maritime transport system in Germany. It was 26 meters long vessel (Class Georg Breusing). The ship was built in 1965 in the shipyard Abeking " Rasmussen in Lemwerder. Dinghy Vegesack was named after a district in the city of Bremen.
