Information about the original:

In February 1943, the first prototypes of heavy tanks designed to equip the armored units of the Red Army were produced as a replacement for the obsolete KV tanks. The most notable of the tanks developed to counter the new and heavily armored German vehicles such as the Tiger and Panther was Joseph Stalin's JS-2. It was armed with a powerful 122 mm cannon installed in a centrally located turret, featured a cast steel hull, heavy armor and fitted with a twelve-cylinder diesel engine producing over 600 horsepower. The total weight of the tank was 46 tons. It was deployed in the battles leading up to the recapture of Ukraine, in operational activity in Hungary and in the final phase of the conflict during the Battle of Berlin. It was one of the most powerful tanks used by the Soviet Union during World War II
