Original information:
Between June 1940 and November 1942, the small but strategically very significant island of Malta in the Mediterranean Sea became the most bombed place on the globe when Italian and then German bombers tried to force the island to surrender.
At that time, maritime merchant convoys were also attacked, thus preventing the island from supplying food and other military equipment. The only airplane that Malta could then use to defend was the obsolete Gloster Gladiator and later Hawker Hurricane. In the biggest battle turmoil, however, came also the cannons armed and tropical climate adapted to Spitfire Mk. Vb, who attacked the German dive bombers Junkers Ju88 and Ju87 Stuka, accompanied by the Messerschmitt Bf109E. The conflict has gradually become a battle similar in some respects to the Battle of Britain. Eventually, however, at the end of 1942, the Allies won a war in North Africa, and Malta was no longer important to the Axis troops. Bombing has ceased and the hungry civilian population of the island has been able to get back to supplies due to the reopening of the sea routes.

Acrylic paint for Humbrol Acrylic modellers
Instructions for use: Water-soluble acrylic paint. Mix the color well before using it. Apply the brush directly from the can. When using the airbrush, dilute with a suitable diluent, such as water. Non-combustible base, quickly drying, 1-2 hours until full drying, for shiny and metal coatings a little longer. If necessary dilute with water. By using unsuitable thinner, the paint can be destroyed! Brush the paint and tools immediately after use with water. Close the container tightly after use. When opening, use as soon as possible, the air color dries out. Protect from frost. Contains preservatives 5 Chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one, 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (3: 1) 2-phenoxyethanol.
