Original information:
The first types of Handley Page Halifax, Mark I and II, were equipped with inline engines and triangular hindquarters. The new model, Mark III, with a star engine, only appeared in 1944. The Halifax B.III had much more heavy equipment than its predecessors, besides the more powerful engines and refined tail parts. Its martial efficiency was greatly improved. Before its production was completed in 1946, a total of 6,176 Halifaxes were built, of which more than 2000 were in the B.III variant. It was powered by four Bristol Hercules XVI engines, each of 1,675 horsepower, allowing it to fly at 451.2 km / h and driving it up to 3176 km. Its pumped cargo could weigh up to 5,895.7 kg, of which 4535.9 kg was housed and 1380.75 kg inside the wings. Defense equipment then consisted of nine machine guns.
