Original information:
The Bf109, which has traditionally ranked among the best war fighter jets, actively served from 1938 until 1945 and later. After successful missions over Poland, France and other Western European countries, this 'E' variant became the main enemy of Spitfire in the summer of 1940. Even though he was limiting his short range, Messerschmitt was doing well over England and then on all the battlefields on the Western Front.
