Original information:
Junkers Ju 87 Stuka was a two-seat dive bomber and aircraft for attacks on ground targets. It first took to the skies in 1935 and premiered in combat in 1936 as part of the Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War. It was easily recognizable thanks to the inverted gull wings and solid landing gear. In addition, its design included several innovative features, including automatic aerodynamic brakes under both wings, which ensured that the aircraft would recover from a dive attack, even if the pilot fainted due to overload. During the initial stages of World War II, Stuka soon became an icon of the German "Blitzkrieg", which provided effective support to the Wehrmacht's armored divisions. The Luftwaffe also used it during the Battle of Britain, where, however, in the face of faster and well-armed modern aircraft such as the Hurricane and Spitfire, its weaknesses were revealed.
