Type 82 Kubelwagen is one of the most famous military vehicles of the Second World War. Designed by Ferdinand Porsche himself and produced by German Volkswagen. This project was born out of several basic requirements: the aim was to create a simple, easy to manufacture, maintenance and repair vehicle. The design of the new car has been designed so that there are no creases on it - the plates from which the body is made are therefore all flat and flat. Complete simplicity has been maintained even with the frame design: it consists only of a central tube and a rear beam for the engine and gearbox. Thanks to its 998 cm3 gasoline engine, Kubelwagen was able to reach a maximum speed of 80 km / h. Although he was not all-wheel-driven, he was extremely reliable on all types of terrain, so he was missing on any war front where the German army fought during the Second World War - often under the most demanding conditions. In addition, Kubelwagen can be equipped with a MG34 or MG42 machine gun stand.
