Predatory body design

The new body design for the TYPHON 3S BLX has six open vents along the rear. These support air circulation inside the body and keep the electronics running at a safe operating temperature.

Reinforced chassis

Several changes in reinforcement were made on the chassis, for greater rigidity. At the same time, aluminum was used on the axle pin retaining plates. The chassis design is arranged in a proven component layout to achieve perfect balance. Drive shaft in the middle, battery on one side and electronics on the other. In addition, the entire chassis is equipped with side covers that limit the ingress of dirt into the chassis. The battery is firmly seated in place using straps.

Larger clip on the drive module

The "Pull" board area has been increased for better mounting and handling of the drive module.

Pinion with driven gear

The motor can be adjusted and the inter-tooth clearance precisely adjusted when replacing the pinion or gear thanks to the aluminum plate with grooves for mounting the motor.

Ball bearings

All rotating parts are mounted in ball bearings. Exposed bearings are protected against dust and dirt by rubber caps.

Servo saver for servo protection

The model received a new more powerful servo and a new more efficient servo saver was used for its maximum protection. This ensures a higher level of impact protection and safer driving.

Grooved shafts

As with the 4S version, grooved shafts are used here, which can easily transfer the high power of the AC motor.

Oil shock absorbers

Patented oil dampers absorb every impact of the model. The shock absorbers are equipped with impact protection covers on the front. Stiffness and ground clearance can be changed with oil viscosity or spacers. silicone O-rings are used to safely retain the oil.

Wheels and tires

Robust, multi-spoke discs with dBoots® 2-HO ™ tires with a distinctive pattern, give the RC model car Typhon 3S BLX maximum grip on all surfaces.

Effective pressure wing

Careful design of the rear wing has given the car the stability it needs to drive fast with the TYPON 3S BLX at speeds in excess of 60 km / h, regardless of the terrain.

Easily accessible engine module

The engine module is removed from the chassis as a complete unit, removing one bolt. Includes engine, engine plate, clutch assembly and transmission cover.

Easy disassembly of the electronics module

The electronics module consists of a waterproof receiver box, servo board and controller holder. The unit is dismantled and is available for maintenance and service needs.

Front and rear differential

The model is equipped with front and rear differentials, which ensure maximum traction. The differentials are equipped with high-quality metal gears for trouble-free operation. The wheel drive is transmitted by means of telescopic half-axles.

DBoots off-road tires

Durable dBoots tires are mounted on rigid black nylon discs, giving the car fast traction for instant acceleration. The 17mm hexagonal carrier allows the use of a wide range of wheel and tire combinations from other manufacturers.

2 differentials with metal gears

The RC model car TYPON 3S BLX is equipped as standard with two differentials with metal gears to ensure the reliability and long life of these exposed parts. Easily accessible front and rear differentials allow you to perform maintenance in minutes. This means you spend less time servicing so you can have more time to ride.

Digital servo control Spectrum MS SPMS651 MG

The new Spectrum S651 7kg MG MG servo has 15% more torque than the previous ADS-7M servo. It is waterproof, has metal gears and a torque of 7.27 kg.cm at 6V.

BLX 3660 AC motor

The model is powered by a powerful 4-pole AC motor BLX 3660 3200 rpm // V. The four-pole design gives the motor a linear curve from low speeds. The metal black anodized case not only looks great, but allows better heat dissipation to the passive cooler. 4 mm pin connectors allow easy disconnection for easy engine maintenance.

BLX100 electronic controller

The BLX100 AC regulator with a current load of up to 100A, in combination with 3S LiPo batteries will provide incredible power. The built-in fan ensures sufficient cooling even at full load. The controller has driving modes, battery underload protection and overvoltage protection. Voltage BEC 6V. Waterproof * switch on the controller. IC5 battery connector.

Adjustable parameters:

• Switching voltage: NiMH / LiPo
• Acceleration: in 7 steps. Tip: On slippery surfaces, it is better to use less acceleration to prevent the wheels from slipping

• Direction of motor rotation: Normal or reverse

Transmitter Spectrum SLT3

The basic 3-channel Spectrum SLT3 transmitter operating at 2.4 GHz is compatible with the SLT protocol. The light weight of the Spectrum SLT3 transmitter allows you to hold without fatigue. The steering wheel is covered with a foam rim for a firm grip. The layout of the controls is practical and intuitive - all controls are positioned so that they are quickly accessible when needed. A secure loop is available for fastening to the strap.

SLR300 receiver with SLT-FHSS protocol

The SLR300 3-channel car receiver is equipped with 2.4GHz, interference-resistant SLT FHSS technology. It is compatible with Spektrum SLT transmitters and is backward compatible with Tactic steering wheel transmitters.

New IC5 connectors

The new IC5 connectors have a modern design with an emphasis on safety and simplicity. The contacts are made of gold-plated pins and sockets with a diameter of 5 mm.

As already mentioned, the connectors have been designed with an emphasis on safe and easy use. The connectors cannot be reversed, the contacts and soldered connections are covered with a plastic cover. The IC5 connector is backward compatible with EC5.

Recommended LiPo batteries

The model can be operated on a 2 to 3 cell LiPo battery or a 7 cell NiMH battery. The battery should be equipped with an EC5 or IC5 connector. We recommend a 2-cell LiPo battery (7.4 V) for normal riding.

• For the maximum possible speed of LiPo battery Black Magic LiPo 11.1 V 5000 mAh.

Recommended NiMH batteries

NiMH batteries are not difficult to handle and are therefore suitable if the RC model car is operated by children (NiMH batteries will not be destroyed by complete discharge). However, NiMH batteries have a lower capacity, so driving time will be slightly shorter.

Recommended chargers for conventional and Smart batteries

If you decide to use modern Smart LiPo batteries in the RC model of the Arrma car, then we recommend this charger:

• Charger with mains power supply Spektrum S150 with one 1x50W output.
• Mains charger Spektrum S1100 with one 1x100W output.
• Mains charger Spektrum S2100 with two outputs 2x 100 W.

To connect the battery to these chargers, you need an IC5 / IC3 charging adapter.

Accessories for normal operation

For normal RC car operation, you need tire glue, bolt glue, a tool kit and silicone shock absorber oil. From our range we recommend an affordable set of tools for RC cars.

The tire glue adheres the tires to the rim of the disc. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not stuck around the entire circumference, it may rupture. The tire adhesive has a special composition that is able to bond materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time the adhesive is flexible after hardening. Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers and change the oil in the differentials. During normal operation, there is only a slight leakage of silicone oil along the shock absorber piston rods. If the damper piston rod surface or seal condition is in poor condition, the oil leak may be large. Repair kits or individual parts are supplied for these cases. Screw glue is required for routine maintenance. Screws screwed into the metal material (eg screws in the motor, set screw in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this adhesive.

Protective covers for batteries

Protective covers are designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries can, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for long travel times. On the contrary, the LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage.
